How creators make videos
Have you ever wondered how creators make videos on TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and other platforms?
Wonder no more because today, we will be going over how videos are made from finding ideas to publishing!
1) Ideas
Understanding what your audience wants is crucial to the process. Sure, you can make a video of yourself skydiving in Australia but if your audience is used to watching videos of your work as a private chef making food, it won’t be the best match.
You can use tools such as ChatGPT (free) to generate a list of ideas. Check out the screenshot below.
I used ChatGPT for this response
Steal my prompt: I create content on YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and TikTok. All my videos are shorter than a minute. I am in the cooking niche. Please generate a list of 10 video ideas.
PS: the quality of the answer ChatGPT gives you is determined by the quality of the info you put in.
2) Recording
In short, the answer to this part is, to use what you have. Chances are that you have a mobile phone with a camera that can shoot 1080p video or higher.
Use your camera app and hit record.
If you are not comfortable holding your phone when recording, you can buy a tripod from Amazon for less than $20!
3) Editing
Editing your video is often what can make or break it. Pay very close attention to the type of content you like to watch, they usually start off with something that hooks your attention, has quick cuts, and gets straight to the point.
You can also use amazing tools to make your life easier, Capcut is a free editing tool that can be used to make some amazing edits. Plus, it has pre-built templates so that you can pick one and make more content faster.
Another amazing tool is Opus, you upload videos and it will automatically edit your content. This is great for vlogs, podcasts, and interviews. It is also what I think is…
The secret to growing on LinkedIn in 2024
There's a rising demand for high-quality video content on LinkedIn, creating a major growth opportunity.
How can you capitalize? Just grab your existing videos, and use OpusClip to turn them into clips and schedule them to post on LI.
I love using LinkedIn to network with incredible people. You should highly consider posting content there especially if you’re in the business or finance niche!
4) Publishing
Congratulations! You now have produced a piece of content or two. The next step is to share it with the world. Most platforms will let you schedule a post to be posted at a future day and time.
This is important because you want to share content with your audience when they’re most likely to engage with it. Publishing a piece of content too early in the day or too late at night may hurt the reach, resulting in your hard work not being seen by the world.
The best times to post are 11 am -12 pm, 4 pm - 6 pm, 7 pm - 9 pm.
This is what works best for my clients and I. Test different posting times for your audience!
Thank you for reading this week’s issue!
